NEW EP ➟ MERMAID
"I don’t know how to write love songs"
And yet, it’s one of the themes of this EP. With its five songs: Llorona (rock reinterpretation of a traditional Latin American song), The Mermaid Song, In the Mirror, I don’t know how to write love songs and Horizon, the EP MERMAID reflects the intentions of its artist ! In several languages, she talks about love, sorrow, fear of the future, and, above all, how to find one's place in the world. To share all those emotions and stories, she sometimes even will impersonate on stage thoses mythological figures.
The influences for this project are multiple: American bands, My Chemical Romance, Ludo, Japanese, Rookiez Is Punk’d, Olivia Lufkin, world music and musical. But various artistic forms are also sources of inspiration, such as the stage, theater, animation or comics, as well as cultures and counter-cultures from different periods and regions.
MERMAID will be released in October 2026!

BIO
Omeyad, a French singer-songwriter, was born out of a love for music and quirky stories that aren’t always found where you’d expect them to be. She is now dedicated to bringing them to life through her debut EP: MERMAID.
Prior to this project, she first attended the conservatory, where she began studying piano, musical, and sang in choirs, followed by a program at the American School of Modern Music in Paris, where she discovered jazz and modern music.
Since then, she has been performing her own songs in dreamlike, offbeat sets alongside other professional musicians.
But while she was immersed in the musical world from a very young age, her journey has not been a smooth one. Fortunately, its winding twists and turns did not dampen her passion, which will culminate in October 2026 with MERMAID. Five songs for which she is composer, arranger, and performer.
